Will 'A Nightmare On Elm Street part 2' Remake Happen?

After the weekend box office of the 2010 veron of 'A Nightmare On Elm Street' there has been talks about doing a sequel of ' A Nightmare on Elm Street'. We don't know much about the upcoming project but hope to hear more soon, but the only thing we really know is that the movie is to made in 2012. The story line that they have planned for the sequel sounds good, but will this movie be as big of a success as the first movie?

What they have planned for the movie is that it takes place five months after the ending from the first one. It follows the lives of characters, going through college and try to move on with their lives. But once again the vicious dream stalker, Freddy Krueger returns.
