Upcoming SLAUGHTER HIGH Remake Set For 2012?

This is one of those rare stories that can go either way because it is coming from IMDB. Slaughter High is a 1986 slasher flick written and directed by George Dugdale, Mark Ezra, and Peter Litten. The original story is about eight people being invited to their 10 year reunion at their now closed down high school, where a disfigured former student seeks revenge over a prank gone horribly wrong. Apparently, the remake is set to be released in 2012.

It might be real, but only time will tell. You can learn more if you have an IMDBPro account.

look at the other de of the coin though: It wasn't a particularly fantastic flick the first time, and it could be heavily improved. It could prompt some form of new disc release with some (perhaps) lost or ignored extras. That's a win for hardcore fans.

Obviously I'm pro-originality, but this is one of the few flicks that could be turned into something that resembles a quality flick. It certainly has plenty of room for improvement.

I'd hardly call the original "quality", but I love it no matter what. It's one of those movies that's so bad you just love to watch it over and over again. Screw you Hollywood
