With Netflix now casting its eye's towards premium series - It's being reported by Variety that the streaming/DVD-by-mail distributor has now inked a multi-year licenng agreement with AMC which will cover previous seasons of 'The Walking Dead' - starting with with season one which went "live" today.
Season two will follow next year just before the premiere of season three...etc.
Netflix has been trying to attract more attention towards its streaming service, which is much less expenve to maintain. It should also be noted that deals like this one may helpful in offsetting some of that criticism, but there's still some major content publishers like HBO that continue to remain a holdout to the streaming only service.
