After 26 Years, The Brad Fiedel Score To 'Fright Night' Is Finally Being Released Onto CD!

Being a HUGE fan of the film, I can only think of two words that immediately came to mind when I found out this amazing news that I'm about to lay down right now...AT LAST

The wait is finally over, as it's now been officially announced that the Brad Fiedel score from the 1985 film Fright Night will be made available on CD for the first time on October 18th! Thank God!! For some odd reason this magnificent score has never found it's way onto CD, but it should be noted that bootlegged veron's of the score have turned up over the years.

The CD will be presented from a 1/4" two-track stereo master elements which come courtesy of both Sony Pictures and the composer Brad Fiedel. Some elements were drawn from actual 15 ips mixes, others were from slightly noier 7 1/2 ips tapes. Rather than melding the two together, the tracks are being presenting ung the surviving 15 ips cues as an opening suite, followed by the full score from the 7 1/2 ips tapes. Confused? So are we.

Would have been beyond epic if they put it on vinyl...THEN we'd be talking about a blast from the past!
