SLASHER SHOWDOWN! Myers vs. Freddy vs. Jason - Tons of Interesting Facts!

When our friends at Yahoo! Movies got a hold of us to help promote their new SLASHER SHOWDOWN lists it was a no brainer. We at HorrorBid are extremely big fans of good ol fashioned slasher movies all the way down to our logo with our famous slasher guy standing in the moon. So Yahoo! Movies has been counting down Halloween with some fun facts and interesting questions posed to fans.

From Dracula to Jigsaw, horror movies have given us more than enough villains to haunt our dreams for a lifetime. But none have become more iconic than the unholy trinity of Michael Myers, Jason Voorhees, and Freddy Krueger. For over 26 years, these three have been slashing and killing their way to infamy and into our hearts. But one question has always remained: Who truly is the best of the three?

Slasher Showdown Installment 1 – Box Office Killings The first installment of our Slasher Showdown between the three most iconic slasher film villains -- Michael, Jason, & Freddy. After yesterday's round, Jason ran away with the competition, but today the killers are going to have to put their money where their mouth is as we look at the box-office success of each franchise.

To no surprise, having starred in the most films over the years, Jason has brought in the most box-office money with "Friday the 13th". However, it's actually Freddy's turn to take a bow as he pulls in the highest "per film" average of the three. Check out how each franchise stacks up:

Slasher Showdown Installment 2 – Body Count Second up,Yahoo!Movies we'll be looking at body count. An important requirement for being the greatest slasher of all time is a healthy resumé of kills. Take a look below and see how the three stack up:

Slasher Showdown Installment 3 – Ratings Everyone's a critic! Which is why for day three of Yahoo!Movies slasher showdown is looking at the comparison between how the critics and Yahoo! users have rated every film that slasher icons Michael Myers, Jason Voorhees, and Freddy Krueger have starred in. Though there seems to be an equally shared love of them among horror fans, the critics have quite a different opinion.

None of the horror franchises have ever prided themselves on being critically acclaimed, but in our efforts to settle the debate for a slasher winner, we felt it was worth condering the grades. It seems that ade from the first film of each franchise, critics have generally panned the rest of the movies throughout the years. It was, however, the "Nightmare on Elm Street" franchise that received the most love of all gaining an overall C average among critics.

See how each of the films was rated below by both critics and Yahoo! users:

Slasher Showdown Installment 4 – Fun Facts Yahoo!Movies have stacked up the body counts, the box office totals, and the critics' reviews of all of the Michael, Jason, and Freddy films, but do we have a clear winner yet in our Slasher Showdown? Freddy had the highest "per film" average at the box office, Jason racked up the most victims, and each movie franchise had its ups and downs in reviews, but there are so many more factors that could make one of these villains the ultimate slasher.

Now, we are stepping away from the hard facts and numbers to look at a variety of fun aspects from each killer's unique slashing style to the muc that made their movies even scarier. Anything that can help decide who should win it all.

Make sure to check in tomorrow to find out who really is the best of the three after our weeklong Slasher Showdown. And if you feel strongly about which of these villains you would pick after reviewing all the evidence, make sure to let us know!
