The Lords of Salem Switches Bruce's: Dern's Out & Davidson Is Now In
It's been just five days into filming, and the Lords of Salem has hit it's first little speed bump in the road. Nothing too major, but if your a fan of Bruce Dern's then you might be very disappointed to hear this news which was delivered earlier by Rob Zombie on his Facebook page.
I got some good news and I got some bad news. The bad news is that Bruce Dern has fallen out of THE LORDS OF SALEM due to a scheduling conflict. But fear not! We have some great news.. BRUCE DAVIDSON has jumped in to save the day and we all couldn't be more thrilled!
Bruce is known to movie goers from his many appearances in everything from blockbuster's like X-Men to Robert Altman's Short Cuts and of course his rat-loving turn in the horror clasc Willard. I personally first remember seeing Bruce on TV as Dean Torrence in the Jan and Dean bio pic Deadman's Curve.
Bruce Davidson will fulfill the role of Francias Matthias author of the book "SATAN'S LAST STAND - The Truth About The Salem Witch Trials."
Other cast members include:
Jeff Phillips will play the role of Herman "Whitey" Salvador - one third of "The Big H Team" at WIQZ - Salem's Rock Radio.
Meg Foster
was cast as "Margaret Morgan", the leader of a secret coven of witches in Salem.
Ernest Thomas will play Chip "Freakshow" McDonald, the station manager at Salem's #1 rock station.
Torsten Voguesas plays the role of Count Gorgann, lead nger of the Norwegian death metal band Levithan The Fleeting Serpent.
Barbara Crampton is taking on the role of
Virginia Cable, a camera operator for a local kid's show at Salem Public Access TV called Lobster Joe's Fishy Fun Show.
Dee Wallace will lend her talents by portraying
Sonny, a self-help guru.
Billy Drago will portray "Judge Samuel Mather, a key role in the history of the Lords".
Richard Lynch will play Reverend John Hawthorne another key player in the saga of THE LORDS
Lisa Marie will portray Priscilla Reed, a woman who gives her all to support "the cause of the coven" in merry old Salem
Maria Conchita Alonso will take on the role of Alice Matthias, wife of Salem author Francis (Bruce Dern) Matthias.
Ken Foree will play the part of Herman Jackson, one third of The Big H Radio Team - The #1 show in Salem.
