The Sam Raimi Produced Film The Possession (aka Dibbuk Box) Hits Theaters Next Labor Day
The movie formally know as Dibbuk Box which was scheduled to hit theaters on January 6, 2012 is apparently being pushed back way towards the end of summer 2012.
The Hollywood Reporter dished out the deets which now has the Posseson, directed by Ole Borneda, hitting theaters over Labor Day weekend, a traditionally popular time frame for genre fare.
The Posseson deals with a recently divorced father's (Morgan) youngest daughter who becomes strangely connected to an antique wooden box she purchased at a yard sale. As his daughter's behavior becomes more erratic, the father senses a dark presence building until he discovers that the box was built to contain a dibbuk -- a dislocated spirit that inhabits and ultimately devours its human host.
The Sam Raimi-produced horror-thriller stars Jeffrey Dean Morgan and Kyra Sedgwick.
Look for the Posseson to hit theaters on August 31, 2012.
