Amber Lake: A 2011 Independent Psychological Thriller.
Amber Lake was released just a few short weeks ago by C & C films, a company that seems to exist only for this purpose.
The film follows three half sters who have been invited to unite for the first time, and finally meet their father. We are shown their separate police interrogations after discovering that their father appears to have been murdered by blunt force trauma to the head and dumped in a lake. The sters immediately begin to point fingers at each other.
The criminal investigator decides to diagnose all three sters with different personality disorders. One ster is histrionic, one ster is avoidant, and one ster is borderline. The film seems to have promise despite its somewhat obvious predictabilty to those of us who frequently watch films with the same premise.
