Legendary's 'Godzilla' Remake Has It's Writer And His Name Is Max Borenstein

This just in Bidites, according to the Hollywood Reporter, Max Borenstein (pictured below) has been chosen to write the planned remake of Godzilla.



Borenstein, who just turned in his script for Art of the Steal, is well acquainted with Legendary. He worked on the company’s in-development Jimi Hendrix biopic, Jimi, and rewrote the outfit’s supernatural fantasy The Seventh Son which is due to go into production with Jeff Bridges, Julianne Moore and Ben Barnes attached to star.

Gareth Edwards, the director of the indie sci-fi movie Monsters, is attached to direct the film which is currently in development at Legendary Pictures. Once the film is completed, Warner Bros. will distribute per its deal with Legendary.
