FIRST LOOK: Jeremy Renner in "Hansel and Gretel: Witch Hunters" - Trailer to Follow!

This is a film that I personally have high hopes for and a film that will be in the vein of Sam Raimi or something along the lines of a Raimi style film. Children's bed time stories can be explored so well in the horror genre although we have yet to really experience the true potential. Hopefully this is out chance.Entertainment Weekly has unveiled the first official photo of Jeremy Renner and Gemma Arterton in the upcoming "Hansel and Gretel: Witch Hunters," which co-stars Famke Janssen, Peter Stormare and Derek Mears.

The new movie is an original take on the fairytale and is set 15 years after the blings killed the witch who kidnapped them. Hansel and Gretel have now evolved into bounty hunters who pursue witches.

"You see a series of flashbacks with their experience of killing that first witch," said Arterton. "The heart of it is that these kids grow up to be bloodthirsty witch hunters. It's also very, very dark, and bloodthirsty and there's a lot of curng. It's kind of got a

Tarantino feel."

The trailer is set to appear online on this Thursday. The film is directed by Tommy Wirkola (Dead Snow), will hit conventional and 3D theaters on March 2nd, 2012.
