The Evil Dead Remake Sets A Release Date...

Just early this morning our very own J. Rusty Shakelford revealed some very intriguing plot details regarding the remake of Sam Raimi's The Evil Dead , and now we've just gotten word from Sony and FilmDistrict that The Evil Dead will be hitting theaters on April 12th, 2013.



Ghost House/Mandate Pictures and Sony/FilmDistrict will be heading to New Zealand next March to begin filming. Fede Alvarez will direct from his own screenplay which is

co-written with Rodo Sayagues. Revions of the screenplay were made by Oscar-winning writer Diablo Cody. With that being said, please let this be good!!
