A New Still From Tim Burton's Frankenweenie Hits The Scene

A brand new still has been released for Tim Burton's upcoming animated film Frankeweenie, which is based on the same short that he created in 1984 for The Walt Disney Co, but never got released.

Burton's stop-motion "gothic-fest" (rendered in 1950s-style black-and-white as well as 3-D) tells the story of a little boy named Victor, who loves his pet dog Sparky more than anything in the world. Naturally — or rather, unnaturally — Victor decides to use his science kit to bring the pup back from the grave after an accident claims the pooch’s life.

Frankenweenie which was originally thought was "too weird to release" by Desney , features the voices by Winona Ryder, Martin Short, Catherine O’Hara and Martin Landau Look for the film to hit theaters on Oct. 5, 2012.
