Forum Question: Body Count?

I've been pondering this for a while now. What's the body count number underneath your post count mean?

How is it tabulated?

Mine is a straight 7x multiplier of my post count, but others are between 6x to 9x.

What gives?

ahhh the mystery of the body count number. I actually just answered this question when one of our new members PM'd me about it.

The body count number is a variable number that will change based upon response to your posts (popularity) and how often you post. The number does tend to hover around 7 however it can sometimes spike to over 100 depending if your post catches fire (the little flame emblem next to really popular topics).

The body count number was and still may led to a contest winner down the road. We had this big plan on what to do with it way back when we added it but the Slasher Legend status kind of trumped the body count.
