Another Hitchcock Remake Is On It's Way, DreamWorks Will Tackle 'Rebecca'

Remakes, remakes, remakes....when will Hollywood ever listen to the masses, and just give up on these freaking remakes?

According to Variety, DreamWorks and Working Title Films are next in line to embark on a feature remake. And the movie that they have selected is none-other-then Alfred Hitchcock's clasc mystery, Rebecca.

The film will be written by Eastern Promises scribe Steven Knight, who will go back to the original book by Daphne du Maurier.

The story follows a naive young woman who marries a rich widower and settles in his gigantic manon, only to find that the memory of his first wife maintains a grip on her husband and the servants.

Tim Bevan and Eric Fellner will produce for Working Title.

If you remember correctly, the last time anyone attempted to remake a Hitchcock film we got that piece of shit that Gus Van Sant called Psycho. So let's hope that this retelling of Rebecca will at the very least be watchable.

No No No No No No No!!!!!

Why would you remake a best picture winner?

Why would you remake one of Hitchcock's finest films?

Rebecca is amazing as is. For Heaven's sake, leave it alone.
