The Chicago area is no joke when it comes to horror; our own sordid city past and legendary hauntings are enough to cement the area as a horror landmark, but horror fans in the area are taking it a step further.
During the weekend of April 13-14 - beginning on Friday the 13th, of course - four area horror conventions/societies are coming together to host CHICAGO FEAR FEST, a two day indie film festival devoted to -
you guessed it - horror!
Submisons are open NOW, so if you have an indie horror film that needs exposure, don't hetate to submit. Awards will be presented in three categories: Best Feature, Best Short, and Audience Favorite. Winning directors will be invited as featured guest at August's Flashback Weekend horror convention.
The film festival will be held at Rosemont's Muvico Theater, a cutting edge theater experience that offers restaurants and bars alongde plushly comfortable movie theaters, as well as 21+ screenings of ALL major films (not just R-rated) for those moviegoers who don't want to deal with the younger crowds.
Film critics and industry profesonals will be invited to the festival; get your films out there for everyone to see!
