Get Ready To Visit The Real "JURASSIC PARK" Island!

Are we one step closer to a real "Jurasc Park?" Here is what the team at blastr.com reported on via an interview with South Korean and Rusan Scientists.

Woolly mammoths may be extinct now, but a mammoth 2.0 could be coming soon. A team of South Korean and Rusan scientists have teamed up to try and clone a woolly mammoth Jurasc Park-style, ung cells discovered from mammoths found in beria.

Controveral South Korean stem cell scientist Hwang Woo-Suk, who managed to pull off the world's first cloned dog (his name was Snuppy, if you're wondering), is involved in the project.

The only holdup? The team is still trying to find some usable mammoth cells from undamaged nuclei to transplant into an Indian elephant.

"This will be a really tough job, but we believe it is posble because our institute is good at cloning animals," researcher Hwang In-Sung said.

If anybody can pull it off, it may be these guys. In addition to Snuppy, the South Korean team has quite a bit of cloning experience, having successfully cloned a cat, a cow, a pig and a wolf.

Are you psyched to meet a woolly mammoth, or do you worry that this is the first step toward a world akin to Michael Bay's The Island? Hey, he was right about Armageddon, after all

I remember watching the special on Discovery a number of years ago when they found this Mammoth intact hair and all. They said they were going to splice some how with an African male elephant cells to bring this to life. They also said it would take about ten years before they would be able to have it come to fruition, as cool as it may sound I am totally against cloning of any type ,nobody should be playing God...these things always come back to bite you later.
