Robert Englund: Three Faces of Horror

We know Robert Englund as portraying one of the greatest horror icons Freddy Krueger in A Nightmare on Elm Street film series. The dream stalking child killer will no doubt haunt kids dreams for generations to come. While Freddy is his most memorible performance he has also portryed other evil horror characters.

Who will ever forget The Phantom of the Opera? The Phantom was a cool horror icon. When the film was released in 1989 Englund had already established himself as a house hold name from his performance as Freddy, and if there were any doubts as to wether he could portray another horror character they were quickly put to rest when we saw him become obsessed with opera nger Christine Day and killing anybody who gets in his way as the phantom.

With two icon horror characters now under his belt, in 1995 we got to see him as the Mangler. His character Bill Gartley, while not as well known as the other two, was an incredibly ruthless character to say the least. The movie dealt with the Mangler, a machine of Bill Gartley's that killed people. While this character was less hands on than the others, he was still just as evil.

Robert Englund has had alot of accomplishments in the world of horror but these three villians are what I feel his most memorable, and what trully makes him a legend.
