'Paranormal Activity 4' Finds Its Writer...

If you've been diligently keeping track of the fourth installment of the Paranormal Activity franchise, then we don't have to tell you that things have been deafly lent from out of camp Paranormal thus far, in fact the only real news that we've been able to share is the films release date which is slated for October 19th.

But now some fresh news has finally hit the scene, and it's now being reported by THR that Zack Estrin has closed a deal to write Paranormal Activity 4 for Paramount. Estrin (pictured below) is no stranger to the filmmakers behind the lucrative Paranormal franchise:. Currently he serves as the writer/executive producer on ABC's The River, which is also executive produced by Paranormal producer Jason Blum and the horror franchise's creator, Oren Peli. So it's safe to say that he has a strong relationship with some of the key members of the Paranormal family.

Estrin also has genre experience, having worked as a writer and co-executive producer on Fox's Prison Break and as a writer on ABC's No Ordinary Family.

So far the plot for the film is being kept under wraps. Paranormal 3 directors Henry Joost and Ariel Schulman are expected to return for the fourth film, but a source close to THR said that no deals have been finalized yet for the duo.
