A Brand New Image From 'Chernobyl Diaries' Shines Its Light On Amanda

Memorial day is a special time of the year when friends and family usually gather together to remember the men and women who died while serving in the United States Armed Forces, but if your a fan of horror films you may find yourself adding the names of the "victims" that will meet their own demise in the upcoming tale of terror from Oren Peli.

Check out the latest image below from Chernobyl Diaries which could very well feature one of those aforementioned "victims."



Chernobyl Diaries, an original story by Paranormal Activity mastermind Oren Peli, follows a group of x young tourists who, looking to go off the beaten path, hire an "extreme tour" guide. Ignoring warnings, he takes them into the city of Pripyat, the former home to the workers of the Chernobyl nuclear reactor, but a deserted town nce the disaster more than 25 years ago. After a brief exploration of the abandoned city, however, the group soon find themselves stranded, only to discover that they are not alone...

The film was written by Peli, Carey Van Dyke, and Shane Van Dyke and directed by Brad Parker.

Production took place in September and October 2011 in Eastern Europe with Peli and Brian Witten (Dark City) producing. Alcon Entertainment's Andrew Kosove and Broderick Johnson are exec producers.

Look for the film to be released by Warner Bros.

on May 25th (Memorial Day weekend).
