The 'Oh So Refreshing' Special Effects Makeup in "HATCHET"

Unfortunately in these modern days of horror films, CGI has taken center stage when it comes to deaths, guts, and blood, putting the real art of special effects makeup on the back burner. Quite frankly I've been getting tired of seeing CGI being used in horror films instead of special effects makeup. I've been yearning to see a decent and recent horror movie with some realistic looking blood and guts.



Today, I finally got around to watching, the often mentioned film on this te, Hatchet. This movie's special effects makeup made me smile from ear to ear! I absolutely loved it! It was very refreshing to see the makeup artists talents being used to the greatest extents they use to be used for! Bravo to Hatchet! You bring hope to special effect makeup artists everywhere!
