UK redents and zombie aficionados are in for a real treat this Friday (11/30) as the independent horror film Night of the Living Dead: Resurrection opens in a limited theatrical release in UK cinemas.
The film, which is the British veron of the 1968 zombie clasc, is directed by James Plumb from a script co-written with Producer Andrew Jones.
UK distributor 4Digital Media will open the film in 6 venues across the UK with a DVD and Video On Demand release to follow in early 2013. Grindstone Entertainment Group and Lionsgate Home Entertainment will handle the US distribution of the film which is slated to hit DVD and Video on Demand formats in North America in early 2013.
In the film, "The deceased have risen from their graves with only one instinct, to feed on the living. As academics speculate on the scientific cause of the phenomena, theologians point to the Armageddon foretold in the Book of Revelation. As the cities are over run and civilization crumbles, a family take refuge from the undead army in an isolated farmhouse in West Wales. But the greatest threat is already among them."
