CARRIE FISHER Joins the Horror Convention Circuit!
Absolutely HUGE news coming out of the MonsterMania Convention camp. Posted moments ago on the convention's Facebook page was the announcement that Carrie Fisher is making her horror convention debut this March. Promoter Dave Hagan had the following to say:
"We are VERY honored to announce that CARRIE FISHER will be joining MONSTER-MANIA CON 24 the weekend of March 9-10th in Cherry Hill, NJ! Carrie of course played the role of PRINCESS LEIA in the legendary STAR WARS, THE EMPIRE STRIKES BACK and THE RETURN OF THE JEDI. Carrie is also rumored to have a role in the next film in the series, STAR WARS EPISODE VII. Carrie has also starred in such films as SCREAM 3, THE 'BURBS, JAY AND LENT BOB STRIKE BACK, THE BLUES BROTHERS, DROP DEAD FRED, FANBOYS, AMAZON WOMEN ON THE MOON, UNDER THE RAINBOW, HANNAH AND HER STERS, THE MAN WITH ONE RED SHOE and also is the voice of ANGELA on FAMILY GUY. We will have info about a special VIP package for Carrie shortly. Carrie will be appearing at Monster-Mania on Saturday and Sunday and will be doing a Q&A with me Saturday evening.
