It was announced last year that Glen Mazzara was stepping down as showrunner of the Walking Dead. It has now been confirmed that Scott M. Gimple, a writer/producer of the show is the new showrunner beginning with the fourth season. Gimple is now the third person to hold that potion, with Mazzara having taken over for the departed Frank Darabont in 2011. According to AMC, both parties split amicably due to creative differences.
“The Walking Dead” Season 3 will resume on Sunday, February 10 on AMC.
