"Terminator 5" Hires "Shutter Island" Writer

Now that the smoke has finally settled, and the rights to the Terminator franchise are a moot point. We just learned that the next installment of the franchise that started back in 1984, now has its writers in place.



According to Deadline, Skydance Productions and Annapurna Pictures have set Laeta Kalogridis (Avatar, Shutter Island) and Patrick Luser (Drive Angry, My Bloody Valentine 3D) to script the next installment of The Terminator franchise.

So far no other details have been revealed, but as soon as any new developments occur, we'll pass on the news.

I don't think I can handle another Terminator-less James Cameron movie. T3 sucked. Salvation was over the top but decent. Time to put this franchise to bed. To me, the franchise is T1 & T2.
