WWE's 'Leprechaun' Reboot Starring Hornswoggle Will Be Darker Than The Original

With WWE Studios' new veron of Leprechaun still in development, fans have been clambering to find out all the details. The only problem is the details have been really scant. Thus far all we really know is that; "Leprechaun: Origins” will be a true reboot of the franchise starring WWE’s own mischievous Superstar Hornswoggle, and that newcomer Harris Wilkinson has gned on to write the script. Other than that, the project has remained pretty much a mystery. That is until now.



During a recent interview with WWE Studios predent Michael Lui some new light has been shed on the project.

Regarding the tone of the film:

"The tone is going to be a little darker, a little more traditional horror than the Warwick Davis ones that people remember, trying to find a way to please fans of that genre but at the same time this is really being played for scares."

As far as Warwick Davis having a role in the film:

"I think that’s still an open question. Maybe a cameo. I don’t know at this point. The script is still in development."
