"Ouija" -Original Story- Chapter Eleven

hallway, Angelina made sure her children were careful with where they stepped. Some of the boards were burnt to the extent, that you could see the drop beneath them. The walls had large chunks misng, where the fire tore through them. Doors that weren’t wide open, were hanging from their hinges. Paintings, mirrors and all other decorations were out of place. It still smelt of smoke, and because of the damage from the fire, looked darker than the rest of the house. The windows were shattered, and the curtains waved in the wind. Noticing the faint glow of the moon, Angelina realized it was officially night. Something about this, made the tuation more unsettling.Entering one of the rooms, Angelina instantly noticed the damage. On the floor, in front of the bed, was the skeletal remains of a body that had been burnt. Its arm was extended, as if it were attempting to pull itself out of the flames. The scene was heartbreaking, and unexpected. She didn’t realize people had died in the fire. Making her way around the body, she couldn’t help but stare. The floor beneath it was burned more than the rest, making it obvious that any extra weight in that area would instantly cave it in.Holding her flame towards the restroom, she swiftly glanced around. Nothing. On the wall, next to the bed’s night stand, was a door. The first door, she had noticed, was closed. Twisting the knob, ever so slowly, she cautiously opened the heavy wooden door. A milar room to the one she was in became vible, and next to the bed was her husband.“They connect,” Angelina stated.

“It could save us time,” Nathan mumbled. “Christine,” He called.

Hayden, Dillon and Christine all fled into the room in a hurry. When it was obvious that there was nothing to fear, Dillon took a deep breath.“Instead of going through the hallway, trying to watch our steps, we can just go through here.” Nathan pointed to the doors.Without saying a word, Christine began to lead the way. Room after room seemed to get bigger. This de of the house was much more elaborate in its decorations, each bed frame was built in to the wall. Candle holders and lamps were the same. Each room had masve glass doors that lead to a balcony that over looked the backyard. The commode was located in the room, behind a closet like door. while the actual bathroom was placed in between each room, and meant for sharing. It held one bear claw tub, and a mammoth Jacuzzi that was obviously added after the nineteen xties. The faucet was made to waterfall into the actual tub, and was rather unique. Everything was covered in dust, fire damage and webs. It was a shame that none of this could still be used, it was also a shame that none of the family could take in its beauty while they trembled in fear.Christine opened the next door, and to Angelina’s surprise the room was different from the rest. It was built for more than one person to stay in, and held two masve beds. The room itself was round, and led to two towering doors as its entry. It still held the glass doors that granted access to the balcony, as well as a toilet; Two to be exact. At the other end of the room, there was no door. They had reached the end of the hallway.

“We have to go out, the hallway continues around the corner.” Christine informed.Making their way to the door, Angelina was ahead of the pack. Opening the heavy wooden entrance, she turned towards her family. Her eyes locked with Nathan’s, and instantly her body was thrown out of the room. The door slammed shut as Nathan ran towards it. Angelina fell to the floor, long her now flameless candle. Racing to her feet, she charged towards the door.“Nathan,” she screamed in fear.“Hold on,” He shouted.

She could hear as his footsteps ran into the next room, swiftly she followed the sound down the hallway. As Nathan came into her ght, the door slammed shut. Without hetation, she charged for the next entry. Again, the heavy doors were flung to a close.Standing with the children in the double bedroom, Christine began to chant. Desperately hoping the demon was close enough to hear her words.

“Mă refer la cea care locuieste în. Tu nu sunt mai puternice decât cea care conduce toate. Eu pot vedea prin încercarea la ascuns în acest vas,

porunci să plece.” She shouted. The moment she ended her sentence, her body was thrown against the wall. The thick, heavy bed frame next to her began to collapse. The balcony doors shattered inward and a large wardrobe began gliding across the floor towards her. The room sounded as if a tornado was tearing through it, and in a moment of pure adrenaline, Dillon pulled Christine out of the wardrobe’s way. Colliding with the wall, it shattered into pieces.Hearing the commotion Angelina and Nathan began to run back towards their children. Nathan’s footsteps were soon too far away for her to hear, and catching her breath Angelina slowed down. Reaching into her pocket, she pulled out the lighter. A light thud came from behind her, and slowly she clicked the lighter. A small flame protruded, making just enough light to see a few feet in front of her. Not able to see the cause of the thud, she cautiously took a step forward. In the distance, she could see a small object lying on the floor. Inching closer she fought to make it out, and bent forward. The flame lit up a freshly eaten rat, whose blood began to seep from its body. Covering her lips in fear, she stood; completely unaware of Nichole’s possessed daughter crawling on the ceiling above her.Taking a step away from the brutalized carcass, Angelina began to make her way back to her family. The dim light made it near imposble to see, caung her to walk much slower than usual. The floor boards creaked under her weight, and the cobwebs began to cling to her forehead.“Nathan,” Angelina called. The sound of a light breeze passed by her ear, and the flame on the lighter went out. Relighting the flame, she took a step towards what she assumed was a door. As it came into ght, she realized it wasn’t the right one. Again, the sound of a light breeze passed by her. This time, it sounded more like a breath. The flame flickered, and died. Her heart began to jump, and her stomach twisted as she fought to ignite the lighter. Getting only a few steps, she could see the large doors ahead of her, the breath blew the flame out one more time. Attempting to walk in the dark, Angelina placed her hand against the wall. Carefully dragging her feet along the hardwood floor, she made her way forward. Knowing she must be close to the door, Angelina lit the candle. To her right was the heavy doors she opened earlier, to her left she could hear the faint breath once more.“Nathan,” she called.

Nichole’s blood covered, distorted face grew in the low light, and quietly she blew out the flame once more.

Standing next to the heavy doors, Nathan began jiggling the handle. A loud, heavy thud jolted him. The collion, whatever it was, was hard enough to crack the thick wood. His heart sank as his mind instantly raced to Angelina’s face.

Falling to the floor, Angelina fought to keep her consciousness. Everything seemed blurry, but she couldn’t be sure. It was too dark to be able to make anything out anyways. She couldn’t hear as raspy breaths were taken, maybe a foot away from her. It sounded as if a seventy year old chain smoker was standing bede her. Feeling the lighter still in her hands, she ignited the flame. Slowly, Nichole’s demonic face entered the light, stopping Angelina’s heart. Her daughter’s face slowly twists into a ck smile, as Angelina whimpers in fear. Savagely, Nichole lunged forward, clamping her jaw down on her mother’s leg. A shrill scream escaped Angelina’s throat as the pain shot through her senses.“Angelina!” Nathan yelled.Leighton and Hayden cried out for their mother as Nathan fought to open the doors. Repeatedly, Nathan charged at the door, each time lowering his confidence.“Mă refer la cea care locuieste în. Tu nu sunt mai puternice decât cea care conduce toate. Eu pot vedea prin încercarea la ascuns în acest vas,

porunci să plece. Pentru acest suflet se vorbeste înainte de iubire a Creatorului ei,

dragostea de familia ei.” Christine yelled.Objects began to fly from one end of the room to the next, barely misng Christine’s head.Grabbing his blings, Dillon stooped towards the floor. He wrapped them both in his arms, and held them tight. Finally, Nathan was able to break through the door. Rushing towards his wife, he watched as his daughter drug her towards the darkness with no struggle. Angelina screamed in pure terror for help as she stared at her husband. She began reaching and clawing anything she could to slow Nichole down. Nothing seemed to be working. Both Nathan and Angelina began to lose hope, and with uncertainty Nathan dove forward. Catching his wife’s hand, he felt as Nichole was instantly slowed. He began trying to pull Angelina away from her, and quickly began to fail. The sound of running came from behind him, and thankfully, Christine was by his de. Quickly, she drew out the crucifix and shoved it against Nichole’s hand. The sound of searing meat filled the room, followed by a pitiful moan, and instantly she let go. With no time to spare, Christine began to help Angelina and Nathan to their feet. Nichole’s hand furiously gripped Christine’s wrist, and viciously broke it. The crucifix fell to the floor and slid across the room. Screaming in pain, Christine fought to get away. Once her grip was loosened, Nichole disappeared into the darkness.Angelina watched as her children ran out from the room they were once tapped in. Behind them, the large doors that granted entry to the hallway slammed shut. The curtains were ripped from their rods, and the bedroom doors began to slam. Hectically, the trio began to run towards their parents. Leighton’s hand slipped away from Dillon’s as she raced past them.“No,” Angelina screamed in disbelief.

Racing towards her daughter, Angelina fought to keep up. She could hear as her husband followed behind her, but only for a few moments. His footsteps faded, and it was just the two of them.

“Leighton!” Angelina screamed in terror. She began to lose ght of her daughter, caung her eyes to swell with even more tears. Coming to a passageway that lead to a staircase, she watched as Leighton crawled into a burnt piece of the wall.“Leighton, sweetie please come out.” Angelina yelled.Angelina began to punch the decompong wall, fighting to get to her daughter.“Leighton,” She screeched.

Ripping the boards out of her way, Angelina could begin to see her daughter.“Baby, please come here.” Angelina called.

Leighton was curled up in the fetal potion, uncontrollably crying to herself. With an angry roar, Angelina tore more of the wood away. Keeping her eyes on her daughter, she continued to break through. In the dark behind her, she could see the blood stained, wet hair of Nichole behind Leighton.“No,” she screamed in horror.Leighton let out a blood curdling scream that tore Angelina’s heart out of her chest. Peaking back through the whole, she could see Leighton running through the wall with Nichole right behind her. Racing to keep up with her daughter, Angelina followed the screams towards the stairs. She could hear as Leighton began to bang on the wood, fighting to be set free. Angelina knew if she wasn’t quick enough, Leighton would lose her life. Glancing around the room, Angelina searched for anything of use. Against the wall was a heavy, iron floor lamp. Ripping it out of the electrical socket, she began to ferociously slam the base of it into the wall. The wall began to crack under her strength. Dust, ash and webs fell against Angelina’s face as she beat the lamp into the wall. Leighton’s screams grew louder in fear, and Angelina could begin to see her daughter.

“Back up,” Angelina yelled.

Kicking in the boards, she frantically attempted to break through the wall.“Mommy,” Leighton called.

Her small arm reached through the boards for her. Angelina’s eyes streamed with tears.“Move baby, ill get you out.” She demanded.

Kicking the boards in once more, she felt them crack beneath her feet. Falling to her knees she began tearing them from their place. Finally, she had created a space big enough for her daughter to crawl through. Grabbing her, Angelina attempted to pull her close. This action was stopped, as Nichole’s hand gripped Leighton’s. Nichole had broken through the space enough to reach her little ster.“Mommy,” Leighton cried. With a demonic growl, Nichole bit down on Leighton’s index finger and ripped it from her hand. Angelina fell to the floor with Leighton in hysterics. Nichole began to break through the wood with ease, reaching for the both of them. Ripping her shirt, Angelina wrapped it tight on the small nub that was once Leighton’s finger. Her daughter screamed in pain as she did this, making the entire tuation much harder. Looking back up, she watched as Nichole broke free and lunged towards them. Backing up as much as she could Angelina tried to avoid her.Nichole’s body was stopped as Nathan’s collided with hers. With a loud, heavy thud they fell to the ground. The demon laughed, and growled at him as Nathan pinned it down.“Take me you piece of shit,” Nathan screamed. “Take me!”Again and again this was repeated as Nathan held her down. Suddenly, their bodies levitated off the ground. A loud and demonic moan escaped Nichole’s throat, and the two fell to the floor.Dillon, Hayden and Christine could be seen out of Angelina’s peripheral vion. All three of them stood still, not knowing what just took place. In Dillon’s hand was the lighter that Angelina dropped. Christine held her broken wrist close, and the crucifix in her free hand. Hayden was attached to Dillon’s leg, crying to himself. Nichole began to cry, caung Angelina to hand Leighton to Dillon and rush towards her.“Mom,” Nichole cried.”

“We need to get back to the board,” Christine warned.

Feeling as if she was interrupting the moment, Angelina glared in her direction. She could see Christine was staring past them, and frantically Angelina turned around. In the distance, Nathan was crouched on the floor. Grizzly growls escaped from him, as he fought for control of his body. Feeling her heart drop to her stomach, Angelina fought to get Nichole to her feet. Instantly, Christine was by her de, helping.“Run,” Christine ordered the family.

Dillon swooped Leighton into his arms, and held on tight to his younger brother’s hand. Swiftly the made their way down the stairs. Angelina made sure they were ahead of her. As the three women reached the first step, a deep, dark laugh came from the darkness behind her.“Bring that cunt back here so her father can rape her,” The voice echoed deep within Angelina’s bones.Turning around she could see as Nathan’s possessed body came into view, as one of the candles dying on the floor. His face was full of thick veins, and his eyes were bloodshot. The flame went out, and instantly she lost track of him. Racing down the stairs, Angelina realized they were in the downstairs hallway that led to the main hall. Within moments, the spirit board could be seen. Her veins rushed with adrenaline as the board gained in volume. Suddenly, a the loud thud of the heavy doors slamming shut filled the hallway.“Please God, no.” Angelina cried.

The deep, demonic laugh could be heard from behind them.

“God cant help you,” Nathan’s face came into view as a sliver of moonlight danced across it.A curtain waved in the wind, covering his face. Angelina quickly got an idea.

“Dillon, give me the lighter.” She demanded.

With a shakey hand, Dillon gave her the lighter. Letting go of Nichole, she rushed over to the curtains. Igniting the flame, she rested it against the cloth. Within moments, it caught fire. Pulling it to the ground, Angelina raced to the next pair and tore them from their rod. Lighting the new pair, she tossed it with the already burning curtains and watched as the flames grew. Quickly, they engulfed the hallway. Turning towards her son, she noticed he was already trying to break through the thick wood. Rushing over, she began to asst.“You think fire is going to stop me,” The demon questioned. “I live in Hell,” It laughed. “There is no escape Angelina, your soul is already mine.” It growled. Her spine tingled at its words, and her stomach felt empty. The words replayed in her head, and began to eat away all hope. With a final burst of energy, Angelina helped Dillon cave in the wooden door. Turning back towards her husband, she watched as the fire split and his body stepped through. In pure suspense, the group sprinted for the spirit board.“Leighton, Hayden, you t here and don’t move.” Angelina ordered.

The two youngest nodded with tears streaming down their faces.“When I hit him, you need to be there to end this.” Angelina looked into Christine’s pain filled eyes.

Nodding to show she understood, Christine swallowed back her fear.Racing over to the fireplace, Angelina took a heavy candle holder off the mantel. Turning towards the rest of her group, her heart sank, Nathan was already in the room.“Christine,” Angelina yelled.Gripping the crucifix, Christine pressed it to Nathan’s head and began to chant once more.

“Mă refer la cea care locuieste în. Tu nu sunt mai puternice decât cea care conduce toate.” She yelled. Nathan began to screech as the words echoed through the room.“Eu pot vedea prin încercarea la ascuns în acest vas,

porunci să plece.” Christine continued.

Angelina and Dillon gripped Nathan’s hands, and fought to keep him with strained. Deep roars filled the room, and wind began to violently burst through.“Pentru acest suflet se vorbeste înainte de iubire a Creatorului ei,

arată-te.” Christine screamed into his face.

The roar began to turn into Nathan’s voice yelling. The veins in his face began to disappear and with a drastic shift in the atmosphere, a loud bass filled boom echoed throughout the house. Nathan fell to his knees, tears streaming from his face.“We have to close the portal,” Christine ordered.

Glancing over her shoulder, Angelina could see the demon standing at the other end of the room, glaring at them.Getting to their feet, the family made their way towards the table. Angelina could hear as the demon charged towards them, and the pressure in the room made it hard to breathe. Frantic, they sat around the board.

“Take hands with the person next to you,” Christine ordered.Instantly, they obeyed. Glancing at Christine’s broken wrist, Angelina hetated.

“Take my fucking hand,” Christine barked.Gripping it caused her to scream out in pain. The candle light began to flicker, Christine began to chant, Hayden and Leighton were crying in fear. Knowing the demon was only feet away, Angelina’s heart pumped in overtime. Anxiety took over, and she began to cry uncontrollably.“Noi folom acest forum pentru a încheia o fosta sedintă de spiritism. Nu va mai fi deschis portalul,

tot ce-a făcut drum prin trebuie să fie luate înapoi de unde a venit. Cer această seune este de peste,” Christine spoke with conviction.

Glancing back, Angelina could see the demon’s hideous face feet away from hers.“iar această familie nu pentru a experimenta acest lucru din nou. Fie ca Domnul să vegheze asupra lor,” Christine chanted loudly.

Angelina felt as the demon’s hand gripped her shoulder. Screaming in terror, she gripped Nathan’s hand tighter. Viciously, the demon began to drag her away.“Nathan,” Angelina cried out.Nathan tightened his grip, but the demon was too strong. Angelina began to slide away from him.

“ orientare-le, astfel încât acestea nu vor avea un motiv de a juca din nou cu aceasta.” Christine yelled as she gripped Angelina’s other hand. The candles went out, and the room fell lent.“Mommy,” Leighton called.

Unable to see anything, Dillon reached forward.

“Mom,” He called. The lighter was ignited once more, and next to Christine’s hand they could see their mother’s face.“Its over,” Angelina cried.

Trembling from the fear, she sat in lence. Tears streamed down her face as her children rushed to her de.* * * * * * *

“Thank you,” Angelina looked into Christine’s tired eyes.

“No need to thank me,” Christine smiled. “You guys needed this to end.”

“I dunno what we would have done without you. I couldn’t have ended this on my own.” Angelina shook her head at the realization. She had always known, just never came to terms with it.“Just be safe, and cherish your family.” Christine handed Angelina the crucifix.

Watching as she got in her car, Angelina smiled. Staring down at her hand, she thanked God for Christine’s help. Nathan’s hand ran along her back, and for the first time in a long time, her nerves decompressed. Looking into his eyes, she smiled.* * * * * * *

Stepping into their house, Angelina took a quick look around. She knew she was only getting a few of their things to take to the hotel, but she couldn’t believe the damage that had been done. Gathering all that she could, she made her way back to the living room with a few bags. Dropping them in front of the door, she took a breath. Going into the kitchen, she opened the drawer that held the nails. Taking out one, along with the hammer, she closed the door and began to walk away. Stopping, she realized something caught her eye. The newspaper article that drifted into their yard was tting on the counter. Wadding it into a ball, she threw it in the trash.Making her way out of the house, she placed the bags on the porch. Turning around, she took a final step back in the house. Next to the door, by the key holder, she hammered in the small nail. Taking the crucifix out from her pocket, she placed it on the nail. She studied it, thankful for everything it stood for, and who gave it to her.
