New Info On THE PURGE 2 Inside!

THE PURGE no doubt had a very cool concept in the idea of the plot itself. The film hit the scene last year and made some major waves and from the success that earned, a sequel was quickly lined up.

They possibilities were limitless within THE PURGE world. A lot of fans were a bit bummed about the movie taking place within the setting of only one home when the fact that there were legally no rules ignited the imagination and the many things that could have taken place. The latter gave the film the home invasion flavor and now it appears that THE PURGE 2 will take us even further into the lawlessness.

Actor Zach Gilford spoke out about the upcoming sequel saying:

"With this one, there’s none of the same characters, but it’s the same day of the year and it takes place in the city where there are no security systems and it’s just like a war zone where people are just trying to survive. So I thought it was pretty interesting to take that concept and to look at it from a different angle."

We can assume that what was spoken could very well take place. There is still the possibility that the story could be based around a home setting once again. The fact that it is said that it will be taking place in the city puts a little hope out there that we will see a much grander scale.

THE PURGE 2 will be coming to theaters June 20th, 2014.
