The Latest On GHOSTBUSTERS III - Still Moving Forward?

The world has been taken by surprise with a great bit of sadness with the recent passing of Harold Ramis. Sony Pictures gave a status update for GHOSTBUSTERS III. THR reports that director Ivan Reitman is set to be meeting up with Sony within the next few days to figure out how to keep the project moving along. Ramis was slated to make a cameo appearance in the new film, which is looking to introduce and launch a new generation of Ghostbusters.

The current script will be going though some alterations, which has been penned by Lee Eisenberg and Gene Stupnitsky.

It is being said that Ramis was only involved in GHOSTBUSTERS III in a very slim way which is a huge change since he actually co-wrote the first two films along with Dan Aykroyd.

From the report:

"He (Ramis) was always great to bounce something off of, and that will certainly be missed," the source says of Ramis. "But it won't affect the script."

Will this movie ever see the light of day?
