Big PARANORMAL ACTIVITY 5 Change Made, THE OUTER LIMITS Movie, & Goblin Like Never Before!

Last year those of you that were counting on a clockwork release of PARANORMAL ACTIVITY 5 were hit with the news that the film had been pushed back until October 2014. In an effort to tie the fans over the beginning of this year saw the release of a spin off film in PARANORMAL ACTIVITY: THE MARKED ONES.

Now we have learned that Paramount has made the call to push PARANORMAL ACTIVITY 5 back yet again until 2016. That is quite a jump from this October but maybe they just need some time to iron out all of the kinks.

Gregory Plotkin will be directing the film from a script written by Andrew Stark and Jason Pagan. Plotkin worked as the editor and co-producer on PARANORMAL ACTIVITY 3, 4, and THE MARKED ONES.

A casting call sheet from January for the new film said the following:

"Ryan, Emily, their 6-year-old daughter Leila, and Mike, Ryan’s younger brother (essentially a less fitter, less funkier version of his brother) essentially.

Ryan, 26-31, is described as a ‘big kid’, he’s a video-game designer who has relocated his family from New York to Pala Alto for a cushy gig at Rockstar Games.

Though somewhat of a hippie (she’s into organic food, loves the arts and music, won’t let her daughter eat Gluten, and sports tattoos), Wife Emily is considerably more serious than her young husband – she’s constantly on the go, does Yoga, and though loving, has an air of maturity about her. Her sister died a year before.

Their daughter Leila seems to be a mixture of both – a bit of a fearless, opinionated tomboy."

Now with the pushing back of PARANORMAL ACTIVITY 5 things could certainly change within the course of time.



For those of you who do not know what THE OUTER LIMITS is, it was a television series that aired back in the 1960's for a bit and then returned briefly again in the 1990's. It had carried a TWILIGHT ZONE vibe with some creepy twists.

The writer/director of SINISTER, Scott Derrickson is gearing up to team with Robert Cargill to write the script for the upcoming OUTER LIMITS film. It will be based off of the episode "Demon with a Glass Hand." That particular episode saw a man that had lost all of his memory and learns that he is being pursued by some aliens.

Derrickson is at this point only on board as a writer. There is no word yet on who will be directing THE OUTER LIMITS movie.



For the first time ever in the UK, Claudio Simonetti’s GOBLIN will be performing live scores for George Romero’s DAWN OF THE DEAD and Dario Argento’s SUSPIRIA on back to back nights at the Union Chapel, Islington, London N1 2XD.

Monday August 18th will see them scoring DAWN OF THE DEAD accompanying the NMS Records, German, English Language version of the film. The very next night August 19th, SUSPIRIA accompanying the CDE, Italian, English Language version. Doors will open at 7pm. Audiences must be 18 and over.
