Check Out This Awesome Look At MAD MAX: FURY ROAD, Plus Updated Synopsis

The talk of the new MAD MAX: FURY ROAD film has been going on for a long time now. It has had plenty of road blocks so to speak throughout the years and at the present time it is rolling along nicely. Some new information as well as some brand new still photos (see below) taken from the upcoming film have surfaced online courtesy of EW.

It is said that MAD MAX: FURY ROAD will have few digital effects and even less dialogue which should be interesting. The movie will feature Tom Hardy as road warrior Max Rockatansky, along with a shaven headed Charlize Theron as Imperator Furiosa. Director George Miller, who directed all of the original MAD MAX films returns to steer the ship and said:

"I wanted to tell a linear story, a chase that starts as the movie begins and continues for 110 minutes."

The cast spent seven months in the Namibia desert for filming of this picture, which Miller first envisioned back in 2000.

Along with Tom Hardy and Charlize Theron, the cast includes Nicholas Hoult, Nathan Jones, Zoe Kravitz, Riley Keough, Rosie Huntington-Whiteley, and Hugh Keays-Byrne who originally portrayed Toecutter taking on a new role in this film.

Synopsis:

“MAD MAX: FURY ROAD is the fourth film of George Miller‘s Road Warrior/Mad Max franchise co-written and directed by Miller. The post-apocalyptic action film is set in the furthest reaches of our planet, in a stark desert landscape where humanity is broken, and most everyone is crazed fighting for the necessities of life.

Within this world of fire and blood exist two rebels on the run who just might be able to restore order… There’s Max (played by TOM HARDY from The Dark Knight Rises), a man of action and a man of few words, who seeks peace of mind following the loss of his wife and child in the aftermath of the chaos. And… Furiosa (played by CHARLIZE THERON from Prometheus), a woman of action and a woman who believes her path to survival may be achieved if she can make it across the desert back to her childhood homeland.”

MAD MAX: FURY ROAD is set to hit theaters in May 2015.
