First Look At The Upcoming Meta Remake Of THE TOWN THAT DREADED SUNDOWN Within!

The original film THE TOWN THAT DREADED SUNDOWN was released in 1976. Loosely based on the actual crimes attributed to an unidentified serial killer known as the Phantom Killer, the movie created fear among those who watched. Now a similar murderer has appeared on the scene as the world will soon be seeing a meta style remake. We have the first look at a couple of photos below of this new hooded unknown from the film.

Synopsis:

“Set in a world in which the original film exists and is very much part of popular consciousness, this update sees the quiet streets of Texerkana plagued by a maniac who bears striking resemblance to the same Phantom Killer who wreaked havoc on the town decades before. Is history repeating itself? Or has somebody just seen the original film too many times?”





THE TOWN THAT DREADED SUNDOWN stars Addison Timlin, Veronica Cartwright, Travis Tope, Gary Cole, and Joshua Leonard.

Jason Blum and Ryan Murphy have joined forces in producing the new film and Alfonso Gomez-Rejon makes his debut in the director's chair.

THE TOWN THAT DREADED SUNDOWN remake will be making its world premiere at the BFI London Film Festival on October 14th.
