Bringing you the best in Horror Movie News, and all things Horror.
Last month we learned that the EVIL DEAD team of Sam Raimi and Fede Alvarez were once again gearing up for another Horror project together called A MAN IN THE DARK. As you all probably know the EVIL DEAD remake which Alvarez directed and Raimi produced was very successful. So their next film using the same formula should be very interesting indeed.
We have now learned that Sony
Pictures Worldwide Acquisitions has picked up the worldwide distribution rights to the psycho thriller A MAN IN THE DARK.
SPWA President Steven Bersch commented via Variety saying:
“We’re thrilled to be in business again with the creative team behind EVIL DEAD, and to back Fede on his next
picture,” stated Bersch. “He and Rodo (Sayagues) have crafted a screenplay that keeps you on the edge of your seat and we look forward to bringing the movie to audiences worldwide.”
Synopsis:
"Three teens who get away with perfectly planned home robberies have set their sights on one last payout that will get them out of crime forever. Their target: a reclusive blind man with millions of dollars in hiding. But as soon as they
break into his home, the tables are
turned and they find themselves trapped and fighting for survival against a psychopath with secrets of his own."
Sam Raimi along with Rob Tapert are set to be producing the thriller for Ghost House Pictures. Joe Drake and Nathan Kahane are executive producing and Erin Westerman will be overseeing for the company.
