If you are a fan of SEGA then this news will peak your interest. We have just learned that the longstanding company is looking to transform more of their video games into different types of entertainment meaning film, television or other.
According to Variety, Break Media executive Evan Cholfin has been hired by SEGA to lead the charge for this new mission. Cholfin now serves as head of development and production at Tokyo based Stories International, a joint venture of Japanese gamemaker Sega and Hakuhodo DY Group (the world’s seventh-largest advertising agency) that was launched to produce films, TV shows and entertainment for digital platforms in 2011.
The confirmed titles selected for new adaptations as of now are "Altered Beast", "Golden Axe", "Virtua Fighter", "Crazy Taxi", "Rise of the Nightmares", "Shinobi", and "Streets of Rage."
