Bringing you the best in Horror Movie News, and all things Horror.
The idea of if you watch a certain cursed video tape that a creepy long haired ghost girl will come after you to take your life is quite unsettling. 2002 saw the release of THE RING and with it's success it spawned a sequel in 2005 titled THE RING TWO. As far as a third film in the series goes, we learned last year that it was being developed.
July 2014 revealed that F. Javier Gutierrez would be directing the next RING film for Paramount Pictures and now we have a fresh update as the first cast member has been named along with an official title.
According to The Wrap, the upcoming RING movie will be titled RINGS and Matilda Lutz will be taking on the lead role. The film will sort of be a reboot since Naomi Watts will not be returning. RINGS will once again feature the creepy Samara as well as the cursed video tape.
The new script is being penned by Akiva Goldsman, David Loucka and Jacon Aaron Estes. It will be based off of the 1991 Horror novel, "Ring".
F. Javier Gutierrez is still attached to direct, with Laurie MacDonald and Walter Parkes producing.
We will continue to bring you more on RINGS as it unfolds.
