Big Update On The New TALES FROM THE DARKSIDE TV Show Within!

Bringing you the best in Horror Movie News, and all things Horror.

It has been well over a year since there was any news on the new TALES FROM THE DARKSIDE reimagining. Back then we learned that The CW's vision of remaking the show would have Stephen King's son Joe Hill, along with Alex Kutzman and Roberto Orci in charge of bringing the idea to life. Fast forward to the present and things are looking up for the project.

According to Deadline, a one hour long TALES FROM THE DARKSIDE pilot episode has been ordered by The CW for the 2015-2016 schedule. This pilot is written by Joe Hill, who is also executive producing along with Alex Kurtzman, Roberto Orci, Jerry Golod, Mitch Galin, and Heather Kadin.

There is no guarantee that the show will be picked up for a regular season as only time will tell with it all depending on if CW likes what they see within the pilot episode.

Back in November of 2013 Joe Hill spoke with MTV saying of the show:

"Well, for starters, the show is just called Darkside, and it really is a reinvention, not a reboot. My feeling is, in the wake of shows like 'The X-Files' and 'Fringe,' the days when you could do a straightforward horror anthology are over."

Keep in mind that the previous quote was made well over one year ago so those plans could have changed by now.

The original TALES FROM THE DARKSIDE series aired from 1984-88 with George Romero being the driving force behind that version.

We will bring you more on TALES FROM THE DARKSIDE as it continues to unfold.
