AMERICAN HORROR STORY: FREAK SHOW Actor Ben Woolf Passes Away

Ben Woolf, the actor who portrayed Meep on AMERICAN HORROR STORY: FREAK SHOW has passed away. Woolf was 34 years old.



While the Los Angeles medical examiner says an autopsy confirming cause of death is still pending, Woolf was hospitalized in critical condition on Thursday after being struck in the head by the mirror of a passing SUV, as he was crossing a street in Hollywood.

Over the weekend, Woolf's status had been upgraded to "critical, but stable," with TMZ reporting that he was still under constant doctor supervision," and that his family was sitting by his bedside.

Prior to his role on AHS: FREAK SHOW, Woolf briefly appeared in the first season of AHS and had roles in the films DEAD KANSAS and HAUNTING CHARLES MANSON.

AHS producers, FX and 20th Century Fox Television released a statement saying:

"We are saddened to learn the tragic news about Ben Woolf. He was a tremendous professional and an incredibly kind person, beloved by the American Horror Story family."
