Last year we brought you the news that Crystal Lake Entertainment and Emmett/Furla/Oasis Films had secured a deal to be producing a new hour long dramatic series which will be based on characters and settings from the world of FRIDAY THE 13TH.

Our exclusive source now reports that there are rumors that TBS may be the destination for the new Sean S. Cunningham produced FRIDAY THE 13TH series. Having Jason Voorhees on TBS would catapult the station back into the must see television category. Our source also reports that the new series promises to push the boundaries of what has previously been considered acceptable in accordance with gore and violence on TV.

Production for FRIDAY THE 13TH the television series is set to begin in May. Thirteen episodes are green lit to begin with.
