Big Update For TEXAS CHAIN SAW MASSACRE Prequel - LEATHERFACE Found?

Lionsgate and Millennium Films will be bringing us the new TEXAS CHAINSAW film which is simply titled LEATHERFACE. It is going to be a prequel to the original 1974 classic and it is indeed in the works. The official plot details are tight lipped but it is said that it will be serving as an origin story that follows Leatherface's teenage years in the 1970's.

The directors of this upcoming prequel Julien Maury and Alexandre Bustillo have been busy trying to get everything in line for the project and their search for a teenage Leatherface may be over. TheWrap reports that Sam Strike is in talks to play the iconic character. Strike previously played on the television series EASTENDERS.



Seth M. Sherwood has written the script for the prequel to the original 1974 horror classic. Millennium Films is financing the project and producing the LEATHERFACE movie will be Carl Mazzocone, along with Christa Campbell and Lati Grobman as executive producers.
