Big News For THE X-FILES Revival!

Bringing you the best in Horror Movie News, and all things Horror.

It has been twelve years now since THE X-FILES television series left our living rooms. Near the beginning of this year we brought you the big news that Fox is considering the possibility of bringing back the highly popular science fiction TV series which starred David Duchovny as FBI Special Agent Fox Mulder and Gillian Anderson who portrayed Special Agent Dana Scully. There is still currently no green light from FOX but things are certainly looking up.

According to TV Wise, the network has settled on a “short-stack” order for the revival and while the exact size of the order is yet to be determined, it is said to be less than ten episodes. Talks with the sister studio 20th Century Fox Television are still ongoing.

In order for this new series to move forward both FOX and 20th Century Fox Television need to sign off on the project.

The Daily Mail reports that if these negotiations can be finalized, then the filming of six episodes of the last look at THE X-FILES could be underway.

Fox also revealed that if all goes well that they are looking to bring back Duchovny and Anderson, as well as the series creator Chris Carter. The revival is aimed to close out the lingering storylines left by the series previously.

Fox is expected to make an official announcement soon on the project.

We will continue to bring you more on the possible return of THE X-FILES as it unfolds.
