Fresh News For The LEATHERFACE Prequel!

We now know that the TEXAS CHAIN SAW MASSACRE prequel LEATHERFACE will be presented as a mystery of sorts about three teenage psychopaths, one of whom grows up to be Leatherface. As casting news has been coming in, it continues on now.

According to B-D, actor Stephen Dorff (THE GATE) has now been signed on to play a major man of the law in the film.



Dorff will be portraying the character of Hal Hartman, who is described as a "lean, mean Texas Ranger that has a vendetta against the teen boy who grows up to become Leatherface." Remember in TEXAS CHAIN SAW 3D that the corrupt Mayor's name was Burt Hartman.

Dorff joins a cast which already includes Angela Bettis, Sam Strike and James Bloor.

LEATHERFACE is being directed by Alexandre Bustillo and Julien Maury. Seth M. Sherwood has written the script for the prequel to the original 1974 horror classic. Millennium Films is financing the project and producing the movie will be Carl Mazzocone, along with Christa Campbell and Lati Grobman as executive producers.
