Bringing you the best in Horror Movie News, and all things Horror.
Back in 2012 we were introduced to the Horror film SINISTER which was co-written and directed by Scott Derrickson. The movie did well, raking in $87 million as it presented us with Bughuul, aka Mr. Boogie, an evil being that haunts and destroys families to consume children's souls.
Despite previous rumors, this summer Mr. Boogie indeed will once again be returning for SINISTER 2. This time around though his red eye which had limited use in the first film has been eliminated. Below you will find the first Full trailer for the film which has just arrived.
We learned back in August that Ciaran Foy would be taking on the directing duties of SINISTER 2 and that Scott Derrickson will still be involved in the sequel as he is once again co-writing the screenplay with C. Robert Cargill. The two worked together prior on the first film. Derrickson will also be producing along with Jason Blum. Derrickson has said that the sequel will be non predictable as well as fresh and unexpected.
Synopsis:
“In the aftermath of the shocking events in Sinister, a protective mother (Shannyn Sossamon of Wayward Pines) and her 9-year-old twin sons (real-life twins Robert and Dartanian Sloan) find themselves in a rural house marked for death. James Ransone, who portrayed the concerned sheriff’s deputy in Sinister, will be reprising his character in Sinister 2.”
Focus Features currently has a SINISTER 2 release date set for August 21, 2015.
