Bringing you the best in Horror Movie News, and all things Horror.
The next installment into the AMITYVILLE film series has been in the works for a long while now. A very promising official trailer hit the scene some time ago (see below). A release date was even made, but then the movie was pushed back into the land of wonder. Director Frankc Khalfoun and Producer Jason Blum are among those wondering when we may see a release date.
The upcoming film previously carried the title of AMITYVILLE: THE AWAKENING, but we have learned of a name change. According to The Motion Picture Association of America's latest ratings bulletin, the new movie will now be officially titled AMITYVILLE: THE REAWAKENING. Not only that but the flick now carries an R-rating for strong Horror violence and for language.
AMITYVILLE: THE REAWAKENING stars Jennifer Jason Leigh, Bella Thorne, McKenna Grace, Cameron Monaghan, Taylor Spreitler, Thomas Mann and Jennifer Morrison.
“Belle, her little sister, and her comatose twin brother move into a new house with their single mother Joan in order to save money to help pay for her brother’s expensive healthcare. But when strange phenomena begin to occur in the house including the miraculous recovery of her brother, Belle begins to suspect her Mother isn’t telling her everything and soon realizes they just moved into the infamous Amityville house.”
No official release date is available for AMITYVILLE: THE REAWAKENING but we will keep you updated.
