Bringing you the best in Horror Movie News, and all things Horror.
A little while ago MTV released the lightning fast teaser video for the upcoming SCREAM TV Series and then during the Movie Awards, they unveiled very first official trailer to the world which offered a hint of insight into what is to come. The show appears to have a slightly different feel to it than the films.
Back in November, MTV’s senior vice president and head of scripted development Mina Lefevre spoke out about the new mask saying that it was darker and more organic. Today, courtesy of EW, we bring you the very first look at the killer's mask from the upcoming SCREAM THE TV Series.
Executive producer Jill Blotevogel says of the new mask:
“It evokes some of the Jason hockey mask and the white Michael Myers mask, but it’s still first and foremost evocative of the Scream mask. It’s sort of a reinvention while also paying homage.”
The cast is made up of Bex Taylor-Klaus, Willa Fitzgerald, John Karna, Connor Weil, Joel Gretsch, Carlson Young, Amelia Rose Blaire, Bella Thorne, Bobby Campo and Amadeus Serafini. Jamie Travis is the director of the pilot.
Synopsis for the series:
"After a cyber-bullying incident results in a brutal murder, the shocking violence stirs up memories of a killing spree from the past that has haunted some, intrigued others and maybe just inspired a new killer. A group of teens – with two old friends struggling to reconnect at its heart – become lovers, enemies, suspects, targets and victims of a killer who’s out for blood."
SCREAM the TV Series comes to television June 30th on MTV.
