Fans of THE WALKING DEAD will not have to wait too much longer until the upcoming companion series FEAR THE WALKING DEAD will be arriving on AMC. The show is currently in production with filming taking place in Vancouver and Los Angeles as locations are needed.

The setting for the new series will be in Los Angeles and follows new characters as well as storylines. Cliff Curtis, Kim Dickens, Frank Dillane, Alycia Debnam Carey, Elizabeth Rodriguez, Ruben Blades, Lorenzo James Henrie and Mercedes Mason are all set to star.
Robert Kirkman, Gale Anne Hurd, Greg Nicotero and David Alpert will be executive producing the new series along with AMC Studios producing. Dave Erickson, who also serves as an executive producer takes on the title of showrunner and co-executive producer Adam Davidson, director of the pilot episode, will also be directing episodes two and three.
“‘FEAR OF THE WALKING DEAD takes us back to the earlier, more dangerous, more terrifying days of ‘THE WALKING DEAD,’” said Kirkman. “A time when danger was lurking around every corner and the thing mostly likely to get you killed was your own ignorance of the rapidly changing world around you. The stakes are going to be higher and the ride more intense. We're going to show people all the insanity of civilization crumbling that Rick Grimes slept through. Buckle up."
AMC has ordered two seasons of FEAR THE WALKING DEAD. The first season will consist of six one-hour episodes.
Look for the debut season of FEAR THE WALKING DEAD in August.
