Ebay Sucks

I'm NOT a huge fan of the Ebay Company, they overcharge with fees, Customer service sucks. All they care about is getting their money. As far as sellers on there are ALOT of crooks, not all...but alot. Some good decent & honest people. I have been ripped off a couple of times, it sucks & have dealt with dead beats...Sometimes, it's the only place you can find what your looking for.

I hate the charges they make you pay but I also have made a decent amount of money off of it so i am on the fence. I do dislike the people who rip people off on there as it only makes the ones who are honest lose out cause of them. I always try no matter where I try and sell to be as open and honest about even the smallest flaw.

FeeBay is mad rich and I hate them for it.

Not only do they charge $3 to highlight something or $1 for a border but then they take a percentage of your final sale on top of the listing fee.

When you think about the millions of users it almost makes you ck to even imagine how much money they are making in one day . . .. and with all the money they can't afford a customer service?!?!?!

Seriously, when you call you just get computers or a computer tech who can't answer questions dealing with anything important.

some Ebay members are cry babys. i do not buy anything on ebay. i would only buy stuff off of HORRORBID!
RickyTheShape Friday 1/18/2008 at 02:33 PM | 214
I sell on feeBay and HorrorBid but I wish I could only sell on HorrorBid.

As soon as we get more users and shoppers on the HB, LSD is going horrorbid only.

We are really tied of pay over $100 in listing fees every month while on HorrorBid we list stuff continuously and only pay when we feature.
lifesizedesigns Saturday 1/19/2008 at 03:58 AM | 395
Indeed me and my buddy who owns a skateboard company are always talking about how ebay dicks us.

I remember when they let you relist stuff and only charge you if the item sells now its fucking crazy.

And with paypal ebay is making more money then ever.

I wish Horrobid had more users and thats why its up to us tog et the word out.

ebay is a place where people get ripped off and sell the wierdest myers masks.....
RickyTheShape Saturday 1/19/2008 at 12:41 PM | 465
...Sometimes, it's the only place you can find what your looking for.

This pretty much sums it up.

I'd never sell anything there anymore because of the insane fees they charge but sometimes it is a good place to find those hard-to-find items or even the occaonal bargain. Unfortunately there are a lot of people who misrepresent their items, either through intentional misrepresentation or mple ignorance. It really does epitomize the concept of "Let the buyer beware".
lblambert Saturday 1/19/2008 at 06:52 PM | 540
Could not agree more. Ebay will always have its spot in history as one of the greatest swap meets ever. The one thing I had a REAL BIG problem with when I was a power seller was their is No customer service at all. Seriously it is non existent. But I still buy stuff off the bay and probably always will.

They just knocked off one of our auctions last night saying we were keyword spamming . . . .

No crap, how else are people going to find my auction amongst the millions even thought we paid FeeBay money.Once again a good example of WHY Justin and myself decided to take on HorrorBid.

Just tired of getting screwed with.

Ebay has indeed descended from what it once was. I never purchase horror merchandise from ebay anymore. Way to many low-level sellers that want to make easy cash by scamming good people.

I am a glove maker and have been selling my gloves on E-bay for a couple years now.

All of a sudden as of last week they started cancelling my auctions and other glove maker’s auctions as well. They now suddenly claim that our products violate E-bays Firearms, Weapons, and Knives policy. WTF?? After replying to the first cancellation and explaining to them that my gloves are not weapons, they are a collector’s prop and that the knives are not sharp, that they are dulled for saftey, this was the E-mailed response I received...

Dear Andrew,

Thank you for writing eBay in regard to the recent removal of your

listing under eBay's Firearms, Weapons, and Knives policy.

We carefully reviewed your Freddie Krueger glove listing for Item #

180221116202 and found that we took the correct action. Your listing was removed because it violated the eBay Firearms, Weapons, and Knives

policy. I'd like to explain this policy.

The listing was removed because the sale of knives that have three or

more edges or points is not permitted on eBay. The prohibited items

include wolverine claws and Freddie Krueger gloves. Please note that

members are permitted to sell certain types of knives on the te,

though there are a few exceptions, including the one that you had

listed.

For more information on the eBay Firearms, Weapons, and Knives policy,

please vit:

It is my pleasure to asst you. Thank you for choong eBay.

Marion eBay Customer Support

Great to hear!

That's how HorrorBid got started.

We (Booman mostly) would sell on feebay all the time but the fees and rip offs took their toll.

We are hoping for a big Halloween this year on Horrorbid and hope many people sell their horror related items excluvely here . . .to make a statement.

I recently bid and one on a reprint of the Bride of Re-Animator poster.

I was so happy to win it as I've been looking for one for years.

You could imagine my dissapointment when it arrived here and I soon found out the pic they used in the auction was clearly not the same poster.

What they described as "a few minor tears around the edges from storing" was actually more than "a few" one of the tears was huge and was taped up.

But I could have looked past it.

The thing I couldn't look past was the huge g in the middle of the poster.

Now I know what you're thinking, wow, g, you should be happy.

But it was made out to Rachelle.

I'm Chris, by the way.

So I looked at the persons profile again.

All I noticed the first time was all of the pos. reviews, this time I really took my time and read the negatives, almost all of them were about missrepresentation of the item.

So I decided to leave negative feedback (first time I have ever done this in years of ung ebay).Anyway, they ended up retaliating against me and giving me negative feedback, which in my opinion is just childish, as I paid promptly for the item and did nothing wrong.

I realise that it seems idiotic to get annoyed over one negative feedback comment, but I guess it's just the principle of the thing, being a seller I strive to maintain perfect feedback and make sure everyone is happy.

They finally agreed to refund me fully, if anyone sees a Bride of Re-Animator poster go up for sell in the next few weeks, be weary.

Do no buy from Boxnsend.

From now on I plan on ung Craigslist and this te for my items.

That sucks, sorry to hear about that.

That's what sucks about feedback systems . . .if you leave a negative (a rightly deserved negative) they will often retaliate with one mply because you gave them one . . ..

The one time I left negative feedback because somebody didn't pay for an item they bought, they left me a negative in return mply saying I was a bad seller?!?!? How's that?

I sold the item and they didn't pay and I'm a bad seller for that? LOL.

Unfortunetly that's the EXACT reason why I won't leave bad feedback (unless they've already dropped some first).

Normally it's just a stand off.

Well, eBay is a rip anymore but it's the one place you are guaranteed to find almost anything (for posbly) cheaper than in stores.

It's a great idea but they keep raing their fees on sellers.

nce they have no real competition I can see why they are doing it but they are shooting themselves in the foot.
