Bringing you the best in Horror Movie News, and all things Horror.
Back in 2012 the Horror world was introduced to the film SINISTER which was co-written and directed by Scott Derrickson. The movie did well, raking in $87 million as it presented us with Bughuul, aka Mr. Boogie, an evil being that haunts and destroys families to consume children's souls.
Very soon Mr. Boogie indeed will once again be returning in SINISTER 2 but it will now be one week later than previously planned which means the film will now be seeing theaters on August 28th. Below you will find a new TV spot along with the previously released Red Band trailer for the movie.
SINISTER 2 stars James Ransone, Shannyn Sossamon, Lea Coco, Robert and Dartanian Sloan.
We learned back in August of last year that Ciaran Foy would be taking on the directing duties of SINISTER 2 and that Scott Derrickson will still be involved in the sequel as he is once again co-writing the screenplay with C. Robert Cargill. The two worked together prior on the first film. Derrickson will also be producing along with Jason Blum. Derrickson has said that the sequel will be non predictable as well as fresh and unexpected.
“In the aftermath of the shocking events in Sinister, a protective mother (Shannyn Sossamon of Wayward Pines) and her 9-year-old twin sons (real-life twins Robert and Dartanian Sloan) find themselves in a rural house marked for death. James Ransone, who portrayed the concerned sheriff’s deputy in Sinister, will be reprising his character in Sinister 2.”
