Director Colin Trevorrow's long awaited JURASSIC WORLD recently hit theaters to an amazing response. It has now officially become the third highest grossing film in history. This incredibly wonderful fact about the resurrected franchise means that we will once again be seeing the Dinosaurs return to the big screen.
The sequel, which is using the working title of JURASSIC WORLD SEQUEL, is now set to be released on June 22, 2018 and will be written by Trevorrow along with Derek Connolly. There is no word on who will be directing at this point. Producer Frank Marshall will once again be teaming with Steven Spielberg for the next chapter in the franchise.
We do know that Chris Pratt and Bryce Dallas Howard are going to be reprising their roles as Owen Grady and Claire Dearing. There is currently no other word on any other returning cast members at this time.
JURASSIC WORLD is currently still playing in theaters and stars Chris Pratt, Bryce Dallas Howard, Nick Robinson, Ty Simpkins, Vincent D’Onofrio, Irrfan Khan, Jake Johnson, Judy Greer, and Omar Sy.
