What did the world look like as it was transforming into the horrifying apocalypse depicted in THE WALKING DEAD? This month, AMC will answer that question with FEAR THE WALKING DEAD, an all new original series set in Los Angeles, following new characters as they face the beginning of the end of the world.
Today we bring you a special behind the scenes video with the cast and crew to find out what to expect from AMC’s upcoming spinoff seires.
AMC has officially ordered 15 episodes of FEAR THE WALKING DEAD for it's second season.
The new series will follow new characters as well as storylines. Cliff Curtis, Kim Dickens, Frank Dillane, Alycia Debnam Carey, Elizabeth Rodriguez, Ruben Blades, Lorenzo James Henrie and Mercedes Mason are all set to star.
Robert Kirkman, Gale Anne Hurd, Greg Nicotero and David Alpert will be executive producing the new series along with AMC Studios producing. Dave Erickson, who also serves as an executive producer takes on the title of showrunner and co-executive producer Adam Davidson, director of the pilot episode, will also be directing episodes two and three.
“‘FEAR OF THE WALKING DEAD takes us back to the earlier, more dangerous, more terrifying days of ‘THE WALKING DEAD,’” said Kirkman. “A time when danger was lurking around every corner and the thing mostly likely to get you killed was your own ignorance of the rapidly changing world around you. The stakes are going to be higher and the ride more intense. We're going to show people all the insanity of civilization crumbling that Rick Grimes slept through. Buckle up."
FEAR THE WALKING DEAD will debut on AMC with an extended 90-minute episode August 23rd.
