Bringing you the best in Horror Movie News, and all things Horror.
Back in February we learned that a WOLF CREEK miniseries was being developed. We have learned that it is officially now in production. The series will be shot in South Australia, featuring striking Outback landscapes and will be made up of six one-hour episodes and will be streaming exclusively on the Stan streaming service sometime mid 2016. Much like Netflix, all episodes will be available at the same time.
Tony Tilse and Greg McLean return to direct. The series is written by Peter Gawler and Felicity Packard.
John Jarratt returns as the malevolent Outback killer Mick Taylor. Lucy Fry will star in the lead role of Eve. The rest of the cast is made up of Dustin Clare, Deborah Mailman, Miranda Tapsell, Jessica Tovey, Jake Ryan and Richard Cawthorne.
"Wolf Creek, a six-part drama series, is a psychological thriller set in the world that fans of the films will recognize – but this time things are different. At first the pattern is familiar: Mick Taylor targets an American tourist family to terrorize and destroy. But the tables are turned when 19-year-old Eve survives the massacre and starts to rebuild her shattered existence by embarking on a mission of revenge."
Content and Product Director of Stan Nick Forward says: “Wolf Creek is a truly world-class production featuring international-calibre talent and helmed by two of Australia’s finest directors, Greg McLean and Tony Tilse. We can’t wait to bring this new Stan Original series exclusively to our subscribers next year.”
Greg McLean, who is the creator and executive producer says: “I am thrilled to be collaborating with Stan and the Screentime team to bring Wolf Creek to audiences around the world. I’m excited to work with such a talented group of individuals and delve deeper into the dangerous world and character of Mick Taylor, once again portrayed by John Jarratt.”
We will continue to bring you more on the WOLF CREEK miniseries as it unfolds.
