Big News On The Future Of THE CHRONICLES OF RIDDICK Franchise Within!

In the year 2000 the film PITCH BLACK gave us our first look at the Riddick character. Played by Vin Diesel, the THE CHRONICLES OF RIDDICK series has given birth to sequels, an animated film, as well as video game releases. But where does it all go from there?

Diesel is obviously a very busy man these days as he found super stardom within the THE FAST AND THE FURIOUS movies, but this isn't stopping him from bringing us more Riddick. Diesel revealed on Instagram that the adventures of Riddick will press forward with a new film on the horizon as well as a television series.



Both projects are backed by Diesel's One Race Films. David Twohy is set to begin work on the script for THE CHRONICLES OF RIDDICK: FURIA next month. The television series MERC CITY, will trail the Mercs and Bounty Hunters within the Riddick Universe.
